Intraoral appliances

Intraoral appliances (nightguards) are made out of several materials, like soft rubber or hard plastic and are adjusted to each patient either to his upper or lower dentition.
Those devices are used for several purposes:

• in case of athletes, in order to protect their teeth from a traumatic injury.
• after orthodontic therapy, in order to retain the final result.
• in case of multiple porcelain restorations, in order to protect them from catastrophic stresses.

The patient wears the appliance through night-time sleep.
